Club Vortex is Kalamazoo's only LGBTQ+ nightclub that is open to anyone who wants to come and dance, meet up and be in a safe, judgement free zone. The club supports the local drag performer's community, and is focused on being a nexus point for the Kalamazoo gay community. As one of the DJs at the club (DJ DazzleShip), I work to play a wide variety of music for the varied crowds that come there; I love big city club/house/techno music, and love to see the dancefloor filled with dancers who are there to REALLY hear the best new music from around the world. I'm also a huge devotee of all forms of retro music (mostly 70's and 80's) and can make a dance floor jump all night to that as well. Like any growing club, the regulars and patrons make the club, and new faces are always welcome as we work to grow, do more exciting events and make Vortex the club that Kalamazoo wants and needs!

Wife and I decided to do something different and showed up last night. What a great atmosphere and everyone seemed very friendly. We had a blast and would definitely return again soon!!!

Honestly? It's the happiest I feel. Not gonna lie been struggling bad with mental health and everything, the club gives me hope... gives me euphoria and happiness. I'm glad I've been getting out of my comfort zone. Thank you so very much.

This is definitely the place to be on a Saturday night. Kalamazoo Club Vortex welcomes everyone. I love especially love this place because you can be yourself and not be judged. Great job and Thank you for being here four our LGBTQ Communities.

I only get to be there a couple of times a year, every time I'm there I have the most fun! The show's are phenomenal, the performers are BEAUTIFUL and I'm made to to feel at home. Thank you letting me be a part of your world!❤

I love this place. I visit a friend in battle creek and we always end up here. The people are wonderful. We always have a great time. The theme nights are always fun. This place is a wonderful place for the LGBT community ❤️ or just anybody looking for a nice night out

We got there pretty late, but I had 2 drinks and a great time anyway. If the dj doesn't have any Orville Peck in his library he should for the next cowboy night 👍👍🍺 thanks!

Fantastic staff, great entertainment drinks where fantastic I live out of town and made the best choice of visiting club Vortex on my trip will make a point of making an every weekend trip!!! Cheers keep it up CLUB VORTEX

I'm not here much but other than the fact I know the owner lol it's really a well and good though out bar I hope there able to grow bigger soon
